This is a wonderful antique European grain sack dating from the 1930s with unusual and rare printed stripes! This sack was hand woven and was once used for storing grains. The quality is AMAZING ~ all woven by hand ~ I was lucky to find many of these sacks and so we have a few varieties of tones and stripes for you to browse on our Etsy and eBay stores! ( My eBay store can be found by following my www.textiletrunk.com link in SHOP) These textiles were made to stand the test 2024 of time and are ideal for upholstery projects, pillow covers, bath mats, table runners, dog beds, curtains, lampshades, etc! ~

ITEM SPECIFICS:

COLOR/TONE: Indigo blue
MEASUREMENTS: 17 inches by 42 inches ( because it's a sack, each side measures this )
WEAVE/WEIGHT: This sack has a heavy twill weave
CONDITION: This sack has been freshly laundered and it is ready to use! TThis sack has pale dye transfers where the stripe indigo ran into the plain ground ( please use the zoom features to view closely ~*~ ) ~ This is a rustic, primitive , timeworn textile, ideal for primitive, rustic interiors ~ Because of the hand woven nature of this sack, you may find some nubs and pulls in the weave, which is typical of these antique sacks. Overall this sack is in fantastic condition however there will always be some small signs of time and use, often inherent in these wonderful textiles~! Condition reflected in the price ~
