Handmade Tea 2024 Cups, wabi-sabi style (pair of two)

2024 The teacup stands like a roly-poly doll. tea will splash if you pour too full. As an old Chinese goes "酒滿茶半”(wine-cups need to be full, tea-cups need to be only half full, to show your respect to your guests).


Hi, my name is Kaya. I am an artist originally from Hong Kong and currently work and live in London.

I like wares that are easy-going: non-standard, imperfect but sturdy, and most importantly, touched by hands.

I hand-build these items and designed and mixed the glaze by myself. The wares were fired to stoneware temperature (Cone9-10) in a special gas-assist-wood Kiln also designed and built by myself.

I believe the wares are dinnerware safe. The glaze is lead-free and heavy-metal-free. I also tested them in the dishwasher and microwave, all fine.
