90s lilac silk/ linen skirt suit, designer Umberto Ginocchietti oversized jacket & skirt, size 8/ 2024 10 UK

Superb vintage lilac skirt suit made in 90s by Umerto Ginocchietti, Italy.
The jacket is composed of 52% silk, 48% linen, and is a boxy, oversized style with wide padded shoulders, fastening with a single button. The front and upper back are lined.

The skirt 2024 is 58% silk, 42% viscose, and has a beautiful drape. It falls to just above ankle length, softly pleated from a fixed waistband. Fastens with buttons at the side of the waist. There is a 16" long split at the left side.

Labelled size 40, in my opinion it would fit a current UK 8/ 10.

Jacket measures 42" bust, 40" waist, 42" hips.
Length 29" from shoulder to hem.
Sleeve length 23.5" from shoulder, 15.5" from underarm.
Measures 16" across shoulders.

Skirt measures 26.5" waist, 35.5" length.

In excellent vintage condition.
