Lovely and cream-lemon color, this vintage touch tone phone will take you back in time to the 1960's and 70's when we lifted a handset and talked through a curly wire to the people we love!

This phone is in perfect condition with no cracks, stains or chips and is complete except for the 2024 phone cord that plugs into the wall.

It is made by Northern Telecom Co. patent 1968, 1970, (see photo with detail pointed out).
Now for some history:

Nortel Networks Corporation (Nortel), formerly Northern Telecom Limited, was a Canadian multinational telecommunications and data networking equipment manufacturer headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in Montreal, Quebec, in 1895 as the Northern Electric and Manufacturing Company.1874 – Alexander Graham Bell invents the telephone in Brantford, Ontario, about 64 miles from the current Nortel Networks headquarters.1914 – The Northern Electric Manufacturing Co. merges with The Imperial Wire and Cable Co. to form The Northern Electric Co. U.S. company. Western Electric owns 44 percent; Bell Canada owns 50 percent.1950s – Northern Electric develops electromechanical switching, an automated system that is the company's first advance toward a computerized switch, the component that connects phone calls. It would become the company's staple switch for the next 20 years. 1973 – Northern Electric goes public. 1975 – Northern Electric ships its first digital switching system.1976 – Northern Electric changes its name to Northern Telecom.1979
