Awesome, Vintage, Gooseneck Table Lamp- Cast Iron Base- Works Great- 1930s- Industrial- 2024 Art Deco- Pen and Ink Holder
Up for sale is this very cool, industrial style lamp with a flexible, gooseneck design. This piece has a heavy, cast iron base with a flexible stem and a deep, metal shade. The base has a pointed shape with an indent for a pen and ink on the front. It is numbered 180 on the bottom. The gooseneck stem can be bent 2024 to point the light in any direction. The shade is metal with a deep shape that protects the bulb from above. It is painted a dark gray color on the outside and has a light gray/silver metal color on the inside. I believe the lamp was made in the 1930s, but the wiring has been replaced at some point. There is a turn switch on the side that turns the lamp on and off and it still works great. This piece has some wonderful, art deco styling that would look great in an industrial chic home or office.
This piece is in very good condition with no cracks or broken pieces. There is a fair bit of tarnish/rust on the metal inside of the shade. There is some very light rust on the base as well. There is a splotch of paint on the wire near the plug. There are no loose wires or frays. There is a dent on the top of the shade. It looks like three felt feet were glued to the bottom but they are worn and one has fallen off.
This height of this piece can change. It looks good at 13 inches tall but can be adjusted up or down. The shade is 3 inches tall, 5 inches long and 5 inches wide. The base is 7 inches long and 5 inches wide.
