Both gold damask valances are the work of a professional upholsterer. The silk fabric has been mounted onto a card backing, along the lower edge there is a passementerie silk finish in coordinating colours. The lining is an off white cotton and the Velcro, for easy fixing, is clean and in good condition. The cotton lining does have a few small stains.

These decorative canopies are an elegant way of concealing the top of your curtains and all the fixtures and fittings and the gold tones have the advantage of enhancing nearly all colour schemes.
