Painted Hydrangea Petal Brooch
The "Painted Hydrangea Petal Brooch is completely hand made by me and is one 2024 of a kind. I cut out its petal shape from copper sheet and attached (by soldering) a stainless steel pin and sterling catch, both I made by hand. I painted the surface with white enamel and then loosely painted the impression of a pressed hydrangea petal using watercolors and sealed it with clear latex enamel. I left the back to oxidize naturally; overtime it will become a lovely rich brown. I signed it using my double star stamps on its back.
