French Tapestry Bathsheba at the Palace 16th Century Style Unused Serigraph Wall 2024 Hanging

French tapestry titled: Bethsabee Au Palais or in English, Bathsheba at the Palace, which is a copy from the original 16th century tapestry held in The Museum d'Ecouen.

It measures 79cms wide by 112cms long or 44” by 31”

It is fully lined, with the makers label and has brass rings for hanging.

This tapestry is unused and in new condition. The artisans that made this tapestry were renowned for their ability to replicate the finish of antique tapestries by way of hand printing.

Better than the photographs portray, this fabulous tapestry will add a wonderful element to your interior design. Adding an authentic touch to your French home decor.

We have acquired a large stock of French hand printed tapestries from the closure of a local Artisan in Sauveterre de Rouergue in the Aveyron, who from the 1970's, specialised in reproductions and creations of high quality tapestries. The company received the Label Ateliers d'Art de France in April 2011 and the tapestries are sold worldwide. These tapestries are produced by painstakingly applying several stencils, through which the artisan applied by brush the hues of the original tapestry, specifically designed to approximate the texture of a real tapestry.

All of the tapestries that I am selling, in this range are in a new unused state.

Please check out the price of buying a silk-screened tapestry or serigraphed tapestry such as this, you would be paying far more than I am asking. This tapestry retailed for €550. Considerable labour is required with this process, including hand-painting to finish the details. Silk screen tapestries have the appearance and the feel of tapestries that hang in museums today.
