2024 Take a deep breath ladies - this one is a stunner! Its a high quality custom made dress from the late 1940s / early 50s made by a dressmaker working within Melbourne's iconic Manchester Unity building. I'm not sure of the fabric type but expect it would be silk for a garment of this quality and it has a lustre that supports my theory. This shade of duck egg blue is gorgeous and there's a speckled white design over the top. The design features a deep square neckline and three quarter dolman sleeves (with 6 covered buttons at each cuff). Entry is via a metal zipper in the centre back. There's a panel down the centre front of the dress with hip panels and gathers below swelling to a full skirt. The dress is unlined and would fall to just below the knee on most. I just love the original designer and maker's label. A rare and beautiful collector's piece!

Condition: excellent vintage condition with no flaws noted besides a couple of very minor stains that are too small and light to capture on film.
