Product code: Ironstone Chamber pot with corncob 2024 finial
Offered as found in my great grandparents house. I suspect that the 1890s bowl was added to the 1860s corncob finial cover. Found in an obscure corner of the attic, my mother grinned and said "now that's a bit 2024 naughty." I'm sure her thought was about the emerging corn cob not the original use.
The bottom was made by Arthur J Wilkerson, Burslem England. The cover has no markings but appears to be Wedgwood or Davenport. Both pieces are in fine condition, no chips or cracks.
8 1/2" high, 10" wide including the handle, cover is 9" in diameter.
