This lovely Victorian baby's long gown dates from c.1890. Not all Victorian long gowns 2024 were Christening gowns. It was common for a baby of either sex to wear these long gowns for several months as daily wear, and then baby was "shortened" or put into shorter gowns. Nonetheless, this lovely example would make a very nice Christening gown.
This one is made of soft fine white cotton. The neck is high, edged with lace. The dress is lavished with eyelet embroidery and a ruffled yoke at the shoulders. It fastened with mother of pearl buttons at the back.
Please use these measurements to decide if this will fit. Remember these are approximate measurements of the garment, and you should allow several inches for ease of fit.

The condition is quite good. I found a few pins specks It's been laundered and pressed so it's fresh and clean. This is an exceptionally nice antique gown.
