This is a pretty typical mid-winter scene in the Alaska Interior. There's not much wind in Fairbanks, so the snow sticks to the trees for a while. The sun is always low on the horizon when it's up around winter solstice, so it never gets much past the sunrise stage. Beautiful light makes up for the lack of light.
