2024 Cypress Tree SILK Anniversary~Monterey Cypress Print~BATIK Tree Silhouette~Silk for her~Santa Cruz Artist~Monterey Artist~Whale watching~

This is such a lovely print of one of my original designs, one of my newest pieces and a favorite. The ORIGINAL is a TRADITIONAL BATIK. Batik is a process of dying fabric and painting with wax. The design is created in stages as different dyes are used, waxing after each dying, to SAVE that color. I print the design directly onto fine, silk Habotai that is 8.5" x 11". The silk print is paper-backed which keeps it nicely flat. The print will come to you with a foam core backing and in a plastic sleeve. This is a gorgeous SILK PRINT which I will create for you. Print fits within an 8.5" X 11" frame. (Print comes with a 2024 1/4" white border all around.)

This is not only a spectacular design but the actual printing on the silk is gorgeous: rich warm tones, golds to reds, very lovely. It is perfect for that lover of the magnificent Monterey Cypress Tree. (Hesperocyparis macrocarpa is a species of “new world cedar” found native in a tiny range along California's central coast and no where else on earth.) Trees in general hold a special place in my heart. This particular design is loved by all. Silk is perfect for celebrating that 12th anniversary or for any special occasion. This is truly a lovely gift.

I do like my viewers to know a bit about me. I am an avid environmentalist who supports a number of non-profits dedicated to the creatures, the human condition and the environment. Fully 20% of the profits of this card will go to Earth Justice, a group dedicated to fighting for the earth! Other cards relate to other non-profits; my bird cards benefit my local Santa Cruz Native Animal Rescue, a rescue group that also rehabilitates injured and sick birds and all creatures needing help; my dog cards benefit my local SPCA; my oceanscapes benefit Ocean Conservancy.
