Ah, Lily.

What a beauty.

She is PERFECT and one of a kind.

A treasured, MINT CONDITION, piece of the past.

A reminder of masterful craftsmanship and when people took pride in their work.

Made in the 1940's, and AND NUMBERED (by LEFTON (the premiere maker of these vases/planters) and with the original Lefton sticker still attached, but frayed - see last photos), this is a piece in SUPERB VINTAGE CONDITION.

Not only is it HANDMADE out of fine BISQUE PORCELAIN, it is totally hand-painted with expressive, amazing, bring-to-life details and embellishments: every bit of her took attention and time and passion. Clearly, she was made out of love.

This is a graceful piece, replete with elegance. It speaks and speaks softly of beauty and loudly of its magnificent presence.

Lily is a glamour girl, what every woman wanted into the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's, so influenced was everyone by the glamorous movie stars. But she also travels further back in time, recalling, if one will, the SOUTHERN BELLES or the Ladies of the South.

Perhaps she was going to her Coming Out or being PRESENTED. Perhaps she was attending a garden party or prom. Perhaps she was entertaining our people in uniform at a USO.

Whatever she was doing, wherever she was going, she was doing it and going there is absolute, irrefutable STYLE.

HAND MADE and HAND PAINTED, she is one of the rare stock numbers by LEFTON that is most coveted and in highest demand, and, thus, HARDEST to find in this kind of exemplary condition. Full bodies pieces with extensive patterning on the clothes in addition to high relief porcelain painted flowers and accessories like her green BOW on her head and defined, open hands bespeak insanely fine workmanship and intent.

The VASE itself stands 6 1/4" in height. At the widest point of her dress (the bottom, which seems to flow effortlessly with pleats and delightful movement), she is 5 1/2" wide and, with the flowers in back, 4 1/4" deep.

The beautiful, meticulous, alluring BABY BLUE background of her dress carries on top of it an all-over, perfect pattern of enchanting white polka dots cascading down the folds of the dress, which, itself, is tremendously defined with a clear COWL neck and billowing petticoats.

With a lovely bent arm, she carries a brown, gleaming basket which is full of high relief PINK PORCELAIN ROSES.

She is a blonde and wears her hair up, and she appears to just be gliding across a room with an exquisite expression, her lovely lips, red and sweet.

One must wonder what kind of time and work went into creating this exquisite wonder.

Important to note as a coveted collectible: the artist has not missed a beat in ensuring all things appropriate, glamorous, elegant and enchanting grace this lovely lass.

Gorgeous, and all perfect: there are no chips, dings, missing petals, missing paint, interruption in the art work, dirt. She is elegant, eloquent in her beauty.

This spectacular piece is FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH THE MOST REMARKABLE BOUQUET: easily 20 or more, painstakingly HAND MADE FLOWERS. Her riotously brilliant bouquet is absolutely exquisite and ornately detailed, and provides a satisfying 3-D look: different from all angles and the top: beguiling and entrancing.

The flowers are made from many mediums, each individual bud and accouterment put together by hand, this, taking literal hours.

The flowers are made from SWAROVSKI crystal, painted metal, enamel, glass, porcelain, painted filigree, plain filigree, pearlized acrylic, colorful DIAMENTE faceted crystals: vintage beads of all colors, brass and copper, real gemstones like turquoise, magenta jade, pyrite, amethyst, MOTHER OF PEARL, crackle beads, vintage gold filigree, genuine pearls, different gleaming 2024 colors of SHAMBALLA balls, carved white genuine PEARL: vintage and new pieces woven together in a bouquet to beat all bouquets.

There are several shining, faceted Diamente pins, all in some fashion decorated. Among the pieces on these pins/flowers are vintage gold FILIGREE, Swarovski AB and regular crystal rondelles, Preciosa crystals, Shamballa balls, vintage genuine pearls, bead caps, gold-filled spacers and vintage accents.

In addition, her luscious bouquet bears vintage, detailed leaves, molded green leaves, sterling silver and gleaming filigree inserts.

All manners of VINTAGE and current accents were joined to make a dazzling and colorful display to delight the senses.

The flowers are all multi-level: transparent, luminescent, pearlized, painted, celluloid, glass, frosted and stacked with gold, silver, copper and a variety of other materials.
