Batik Cotton Sarong Fabric Beautiful Handmade Indonesian Batik Kain Tulis from Solo City Indonesia 2024 Batik Hand Drawn

Traditional, genuine Batik from Indonesia made by hand with a Cap or Stem, an intricate large copper stamp used to repeatedly apply wax to the cloth. It is not made by mechanically printing onto the cotton.

From Solo City (Surakarta) a well known batik centre in Central Java, this one has a white background with a stylised parang motif in mauve and purple. It is in good condition on good strong cotton.

A Kain is a piece of material about 2 or a bit more metres in length. This one is 98cm high by 232cm long.
