2024 This guilloche enamel angel fish sterling silver brooch is by R. H. Hemsley.
Set in sterling silver the colorful guilloche enamel of this brooch is in the colors of sea green and ocean blue. Areas of the enamelwork have an ivory white that has subtle hues of yellow and pink giving almost an opalescent look.
The brooch is oblong with an open center. Centered is a shield that holds a beautiful enameled blue green angel fish.
In its entirety the brooch measures 1" x 2" (2.5 cm x 5.1 cm). It has a c-clasp pin back that measures 1 3/4" (4.5 cm).
On the back of the shield and the oval piece is marked "Sterling" RH". RH is the mark that belongs to Richard Hemlsey.
This brooch belonged to my grand-aunt and is in excellent condition. It has been cleaned with mild soap & water & polished with a polishing cloth so as not to damage the wonderful enamelwork.
It is a stunning piece of vintage enamel jewelry that would make a wonderful addition to a collection of vintage jewelry.
