A striking bracelet with ancient carnelian beads, found in Africa. Carnelian was symbolic of the warm blood of life and was thought to purify the blood of the wearer. The central bead is neolithic, from ca 4500 years BC! It was pierced from both sides, and has an amazing excavation patina. Just think about all the generations who cherised this bead and handed it over for all those centuries!

✔️The beads have lovely shades of orange-red and orangy brown. These beads are handmade, no beads are identical.
✔️The bracelet is 21 cm
✔️Spacer beads, clasp and finishings are gold plated silver
✔️Very good condition consistent with age and use. Some of these beads have traveled at least three continents. Corrosion and pitting are a normal part of their patina attesting to their age and 2024 extensive use.
