This gorgeous apron is a wonderful timeworn treasure, dating between 1860 and 1880!! Lovely light weight blue and white cotton weave chambray fabric. This apron is long enough to cover your legs as you work! ~There are two lovely reinforced pockets on this apron, sturdy enough to hold many things as you work. There is also some lovely detail on the pockets. Instead of tying at the waist, this apron buttons into place with two tiny buttons. This means that unless you extend the waistband, this piece is not size adjustable. Such a charming piece that is beautifully distressed!! 2024 Due to some holes and distress, this textile could be worn, but could also be used for design inspiration or display ( see condition notes). ~*~ ~*~
MEASUREMENTS : This gorgeous antique apron measures 30 inches wide at the waist, including the buttons panel. It is about 35 inches long.
CONDITION : This lovely textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. This piece has some small holes and some staining, seen when held up to the light. There is a mend above the right pocket, and some stress on the seams where the right pocket is stitched into the apron. It is still a sturdy, lovely apron despite its wear! A lovely textile with signs of time and use, often inherent in these wonderful textiles! ~*~
