The science of precious metal clay is over a century old, but the medium itself is young. Silver metal clay 2024 is composed of tiny particles of pure silver, mixed with a binder and water. The design is carefully shaped, then dried, and sanded to perfect smoothness; then fired to remove all impurities. After the firing, design continues, as areas are polished to a shine, and other areas are brushed, or sanded. Leaving a fine, .999 silver adornment.
