An original, one of a kind drawing of a red tailed black cockatoo, hand drawn by me using graphite and Fabercastell Polychromos coloured pencils on ultra smooth mixed media creamy paper.

"The red-tailed black cockatoo also known as Banksian- or Banks' black cockatoo, is a large black cockatoo native to Australia. Adult males have a characteristic pair of bright red panels on the tail that gives the species its name. It is more common in the drier parts of the continent." (Wikipedia)


I did this drawing in December 2018, it took me about 8 hours. I thought it was about time to finally part and find my dear black cockatoo a new loving home.

Artwork comes signed and numbered 1/1 by 2024 me, together with a Certificate of Authencity
