Aquamarine 2024 Spike Pendant | Rough Crystal on Braided Leather Necklace | Roman Glass and Old Turkomen Tribal Button Clasp | Neolithic Jewelry
This Neolithic style 20 inch (50.8 cm) rough crystal necklace is formed of 3 natural aquamarine spike pendants that are graduated between neolithic looking ceramic beads and two irregular chunks of ancient Roman glass. They are strung on natural braided leather that closes at the back with an old Turkomen tribal metal button clasp and braided loop closure.
The middle aquamarine crystal measures 2 inches long (5.1 cm) and 5/8 inch wide. The 3 crystal spread is 1 7/8 inches wide, and the spread between all beads is 5.5 inches (14 cm).
I fell in love with these rough aquamarine stalactites soon as I saw them and HAD to have them! They're slightly translucent in parts, and have a pale yellow that spiders over the fissures in each of the crystal spikes. Lots of character in these soft blue gemstones.
The Roman glass is of complimentary colors, a soft bluish brown and aqua blue and has lots of weathering and a crystalline rainbow patina. This ancient glass is collected and the edges are filed down to make the most magical looking beads.
This special aquamarine spike pendant is one of a kind and cannot be duplicated. I made it from elements I find completely awesome and saved for myself for the longest time. I hope it sparks your imagination as well.
