On the ferry in Seto, I was lucky enough to encounter a newly-wed couple wearing a traditional wedding clothing . With Christian-style weddings now being the preferred type of ceremony in Japan, traditional Japanese weddings (or Shinto style weddings) are gradually fading away. It is a beautiful tradition that is sadly vanishing from Japanese culture.
