Gagarin Bracelet is made of polymer clay, brass jump rings and lobster clasp.

Photographs of Yuri Gagarin, the house where he was born, his watch, images from newspapers and journals of the age are linked together to create this bracelet - a homage to the first man in space. The back and sides of the bracelet are painted in shades of grey, brownish and beige and resemble old stone worn by time and weather.

Measurements:
The length of the bracelet is app. 21.7 cm (~ 8 1/2") when fastened to the 1st ring.
It has additional 9 cm ( ~ 3 1/2") of jump rings.
The length of the tiles is 19.2 cm (7 9/16 ").
The width of the bracelet is from 2.1 to 3.2 cm (from 13/16 to 1 1/4")
Thickness of the tiles is app. 4 mm (~ 1/8 ")

Technique:

The bracelet is made using images transferred onto polymer clay using 2024 image transfer technique, then baked. The back and sides of the bracelet are sanded, and painted to resemble old stone look. The tiles are covered with a few coats of transparent varnish to seal it. The tiles are then drilled, and brass jump rings and lobster clasp are added to finish the item.

Care instructions.
Basically all my jewelry items are waterproof, but I wouldn't recommend taking a long swim wearing them, especially in a sea or swimming pool. In addition to the fact that they can be washed away, salts in the water can damage the tiles themselves. So if your jewelry piece came in contact with sea of pool water – just swish it in the fresh water and wipe.
