This handcrafted tokkuri (sake bottle) was thrown on the potter's wheel out of low iron fireclay. It was then covered with a traditional feldspathic glaze, and fired to Cone 10 (about 2350F, 1287C). The clay is well vitrified at this temperature and can be safely microwaved and washed in the dishwasher. 2024
