This is 100% pure silk and hand painted one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.

Hand painted silk scarf with family of Emperor penguins on the sparkling snow . The background represents Aurora Borealis with the unlimited sky of Antarctica and part of the magical cosmos. I have used different sparkling paints to enrich the design.

The dimensions of the silk scarf are 160 x 45 cm, approx. 63 x 18 inches. 100% pure silk satin with hand sewn silk hem.
The natural silk drapes beautifully and because of its natural protein structure, silk is the most hypoallergenic of all fabrics.Natural silk is warm and cozy in winter and comfortably cool when temperatures rise. Its natural temperature-regulating properties give silk this paradoxical ability to cool and warm simultaneously.

This scarf is made to order and I'll need approx. 2-3 weeks to complete it . Colors are set by professional steaming process, so the silk dye bonds with the silk fibres at the molecular level. Colors are permanently fixed and sun tolerant - they will never fade.
Because this scarf is free hand painted so slightly differences may occur - but this will make it even more unique and specially for you!
