Morrocan 2024 Fibula Brooch

This is a Berber fibula brooch from Morocco . These pieces were used to hold scarves and head covers into place. They often came in pairs.

This is a nice example.
It's has an extra large teardrop pendant for decoration.
The blue stones in the middle of the fibula are made from glass. This piece was probably made in the mid 2024 20th century or earlier, possibly from High Atlas mountains. Made from a metal mixture namely copper, zinc, nickel and lead.
