Antique Victorian Edwardian Silver Plated Dish Winged Goddess Artemis Minerva Children Owls E&S 26cms 10 2024 1/4"

A very beautiful antique silver plated dish or wall plaque featuring an image that I believe is of the Greek goddess Artemis (Roman - Minerva), goddess of wisdom and protector of children. She is seen winged and with her little owl. So beautiful. The 2024 dish bears the mark E&S, which may be the mark for Edward & Sons of Glasgow. It is a high quality piece, with delicately beaded borders surrounding the image and to the rim. The silver plate has been well polished well over the years revealing the lovely copper underneath. The dish measures 26cms across or 10 1/4" and is in very good order with wear to the plate as mentioned.
