Kodak Vigilant Six-16 - 1A Autographic Kodak Junior Leather Case 2024 - Kodak No. 2 Kodamatic Lens - Vintage Eastman Kodak Equipment

The 1A Autographic Kodak Junior leather case was made by the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY sometime between 1916-1927. The leather strap, which is broken, says Kodak on the inside of the strap. The clasp is really neat. It is 2024 made of brass, has the very stylized initials of the Eastman Kodak Company, and opens with a side lever. Embossed on the leather above the clasp it reads "A1 Autographic, Kodak Junior, Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, N.Y., U.S.A., Patented Mar. 3, 1914.

The camera did not originally come with this case.

The camera is the Kodak Vigilant Six-16 and was made by the Eastman Kodak Company sometime between 1932-1936. It is a dual viewfinder folding camera. There are condition issues on the bellows - see photos.

The lens did not originally come with the camera. The lens is a Kodak No. 2 Kodamatic and was made between 1939-1949. It is a 126mm f 4.5 lens.

So while absolutely none of these pieces were originally sold together, some enterprising young photographer managed to upgrade their camera equipment over the years. But they remained loyal to Kodak.

It is literally the Frankenstein of vintage Kodak equipment!

It appears to work as it should, but it has not bee film tested.
