MOLLY THE CAT LADY, with 2 Kitties in a Basket.

This sweet little ART DOLL has been entirely hand-knitted and hand-sewn (by Me).
I have used mostly acrylic yarn, with a hint of wool in a couple of places.
She is stuffed with NEW polyester fibrefill, and her eyes are plastic "safety eyes", with added eyelashes.
Please note however, although these eyes are "safety eyes", they are NOT intended for young children, due to choking hazard.
This doll is NOT A TOY, and as such, DO NOT GIVE TO YOUNG CHILDREN. She will not take rough play but will adore just sitting beside you to keep you company.

Molly is a matronly girl. Nobody is quite certain of her age, but then again, no-one is rude enough to ask.
Molly is quite timeless. She lives in the 'here-and-now" but is also a lady of the past. Many say she was born during the reign of Queen Victoria, but then again - how could that be so??
She loves her feline friends and is adored by them in return. It may have something to do with the tin of Tuna that she always seems to have in her handbag, but then again, I think not.
Many evenings Molly is seen surrounded by a troupe of street cats and is almost on a 'first-name' basis with them all.
In this soft sculpture, I have tried to capture her with her newest babies - two little homeless kitties, that she simply 2024 had to take home with her. Ever since they first met, they have become inseparable.
Molly spends her days tending to her two new fur-babies, and never seems to tire of their company.
Poor Molly, however, does not seem to make time for her own social life, and as such, the poor dear has never had a 'man-friend' - not even young Nigel, the Grocery shop boy. Her only interaction with Nigel is to enquire into the price of tinned Tuna. She does not seem to notice Nigel's love-sick eyes (poor boy).
