Vintage 1940'S-50'S Mimi Berg doll, Rare Norgesdukker Doll, Norwegian Handmade Wood, 2024 Hand Knit Clothing, Collectors doll, Skiier/ Ski Bunny

This happy faced Norwegian "Norgesdukker" souvenir
wooden doll was handmade in Norway by "Mimi Berg."
Her dolls were handcrafted circa 1949 and depicted
winter sports in Norway, such as skating, skiing, and
alpine trekking.

This doll wears her original hand knit Nordic ski sweater,
mittens with the norwegian symbol, and matching
ski hat. She may be missing skis, or a backpack.
(She may just be a snow bunny)

Her face, hair and boots are hand painted. Her
head, boots, and torso are carved from wood.
She has the distinctive painted smiling features
of the Mimi Berg character wooden dolls.
Her legs and portions of her arms are constructed
from wire armature, so she can somewhat 2024 pose.
She stands approximately 9 inches tall

Her outfit remains in clean condition with litle if any
wear from age and storage. This doll is an appealing
and earlier hand carved wooden character doll that
will delight collectors of both winter sports and
rare Norwegian dolls.
