Vintage Store Display Sample Dinner 2024 Plate • Universal Cambridge Camwood Ivory

This is a very unusual 1930s-era pottery dinnerware plate that would have been displayed inside a store. Possibly it would have sat on a counter or near a display in a grocery or department store. I'm guessing this was during the depression era.

It reads "Oven Proof – Dinnerware & Kitchenware – Free with Cash Purchases." The printing on front was printed using a gold metallic ink. The plate 2024 measures 9.75" in diameter. Nice condition, no cracks or chips. The back has a stamp that reads "Camwood Ivory Universal-Cambridge, O. – Oven Proof – Made in U.S.A."

This is basically a sample / store display; it would have not been sold making it probably a hard piece to find.
