Not only is this bowl lovely to look at, but it is functional at the same time. It would make a nice gift for anyone, or can be used as a decorative piece on your table. The 2024 leaves were painted in a loose painterly style.
This is a very lovely shallow bowl which can be used as a decorative piece for fruit on your table or hung on your wall. Great for pasta, fruit, bread, salad, cheese and crackers or simply used for kitchen decor. I threw it on the wheel, trimmed, and when leather hard, I hand painted the floral design with various underglaze colors, with the rim outlined in black and a few spatters through out. This bowl is microwavable, dishwasher and oven proof. Glaze is lead free as are all my functional pieces and food safe.
I carved out a keyhole on the foot, which includes a wire hanger. The hanger does not have to be used and is removable. Simply insert the snap into the narrow end of the hole, and slowly remove it when inserting or removing so that the hole is not damaged when using. I use my needle nose pliers when I take the wire off my hanging pieces. It is ready to hang as a decorative piece in your kitchen in between uses.
