Antique French Limoges lamp; hand-painted porcelain fixture signed by the artist [Louis / Louie, produced circa 1900].
Cream-colored base with beautiful hand-painted pink roses & gold ribbing circling the tiers & shaft. The gilded edged ruffle in high relief, gracefully swirls about the lamp in two distinct spots. Fixture is in working order. No chips or cracks that have been noticed; there is some of the enamel that has rubbed off over the years, but this only adds to the overall charm. No harp on these so, you would have to get shades that sit directly on the bulb or I have also seen people use antique crystal beaded light bulb covers that look amazing on these types of fixtures. These would be a fantastic addition to a shabby chic / cottage styled bedroom!!
