This tunic-length sweater vest is a wonderful addition to a winter wardrobe and something that any woman would be delighted to receive as a gift or to buy for herself. I have hand-knit this vest from a great yarn that has the warmth of wool and the ease of being machine washable and dryable. It is 20% wool and 80% acrylic making it both soft and warm. Sweater vests are great because they are so versatile. This one is open down the front and can be worn with a blouse, sweater or t-shirt underneath. It looks wonderful with all necklines whether they be turtle neck, cowl, scoop, crew, boat neck or v-neck. It also accommodates a variety of sleeve lengths. It looks wonderful paired with jeans or leggings for a more casual look but also looks great with corduroy or just about any of your favorite pants and even with some skirts. This vest is Woman's size Small. It's approximately 24 1/2” long and should fit a woman with a 32-34” bust measurement. The person wearing it in the photos is about 5'3” and you can see that it could easily fit someone even an inch or two taller, depending on whatever length they'd like it to be.

This is a very special and unique-looking vest. It has an unusual border pattern that uses a stitch I'd not known about until now. It was exciting to watch the attractive addition emerge as I worked this stitch into the border pattern of the vest. Adding to its uniqueness, 2024 the vest attaches at the sides with three decorative buttons that are sewn to both the front and back of both sides. The buttons don't actually have button holes that they fit into as they aren't meant to be opened and closed, they are meant to hold the front to the back at the sides. (I've reinforced this by stitching the length of the sides together between the buttons to keep them from possibly gaping open.) The buttons are made from coconut shells and are beautifully decorated with a pinecone-type design. The length of the sleeve will vary a bit depending on the width of the person's shoulders. If they are more broad than the person pictured they will be slightly shorter. If they are more narrow, then the sleeves will hit a little lower on the person's arm. It's ecru color makes it super easy to pair with a huge variety of colors. In short, if you're looking for a great sweater vest, one that is easy and fun to wear as well as unusual and warm, one that will have people stopping you to comment on how nice it looks, this is your vest!
