This hand painted wall hanging depicts a Blue Wren. The design is courtesy of Helen Godden Quilting.
The project was an exploration of a new technique for me--Inktense pencils, which are used to color, then turned into paint with the addition of water as a medium. The final measurement is 14.25 inches square.
The backing fabric is a hand dyed piece my sister gave me; and the double-fold French binding uses a batik stripe in greens and blues. Comes with hanging pockets in the corners and a dowel.
This little quilt is not meant to wash. Vacuum dust if it accumulates. If you must wash, use a soft damp cloth and clean the surface gently. Do not 2024 submerge.
