VTG Mercantile Stores Company Inc Circa1980s Catholic Sitting Mary Praying W/ Holy Baby On Her Lap In Scattering Gold Over Creamy White 2024

Listing is for one vintage hand carved sculptured statue, a mixture of wood,stone /bonded natural marble, hard resin ,hand painted scattered gold leaf over creamy white, gold tones geometric stars liked shapes metal fan,that is taller than the head,with the lowest part attached to back side neck,bonded over a wooden block,with both hands up with the palms together with the baby on the lap,
portraying Blessed Virgin Mary Madonna and The Holy Baby Jesus Christ is sleeping on Her lap, while Her hands in reverent prayer the classic composition over wooden block chair.

August, 1986 , my freshman year at the Catholic University Of Dayton, I was given this from my immediate supervisor from Mercantile Stores Company Inc. I have kept her with me. I took New Testaments and Old Testaments as elective courses of that year. I didn't appreciate her very much until about 8 years later. Everything was taught to me,started to make sense. As I have collected more from St Vincent DePaul, I am ready to let this one go.

My parents,brothers and sisters escaped from Cambodia ,seeked rescue in Refugee camp in Thailand near Cambodian border 1979, while Khmer rouge resistances still fought with Vietnamese-Cambodian coalitions. On November, 1980, my whole family was brought to the United States by Lutheran Church. We had nothing started out. I helped with makes end meet during my high school
years, by cleaning the houses of elderly church members.I was given used stuffs to bring home.
In college, I worked for Antiques colleges mall. That was when I fall in love with antiques or Vintages at very early age. Even after making good income as software developer, I still do treasure hunting at Goldwills,salvation army,yard sale,auction etc
After serious car accident 2011,I was asked to go on long term disability. I refused. 2016,I was let go.My income was decreased dramatically and monthly medical bills pile up.Thankfully, Etsy came to the rescue for selling my collection.
