French antique 19th century 2024 porcelain altar vases | Pair of Victorian religious vases | Hand-painted vases with gold and starry decor

Pair of small porcelain altar vases, one inscribed "MARIE" and the other "JESUS".
Hand-painted in gold with cute little stars and other abstract motifs.

In good antique condition, no chips or cracks to note. Paint on the JESUS vase is still bright and the stars neatly visible (although a little faded on the upper and lower rims) but appears more faded out on the MARIE vase.

Late 19th or early 20th century
