Traditional vintage coin necklace among various tribes of East India. It is made with ancient beads of gujarati glass that imitate coral, an ancient symbol of fertility for its red color.
It has a very old central medallion that lacks the central stone so any stone or object can be set. Coins are an amulet to attract economic prosperity and are from different decades being the last of the eighties. these pieces are inherited and are usually rebound by adding new components to them. The cord is made of handcrafted cotton probably from the same decade.
It is very stylish and feminine with its coins set with small flowers. Red glass beads today are highly appreciated by antique collectors. That's 26 coins from 25 countries.
