This long Honeysuckle Vine handle measures 14.5 inches. The amazing natural spirals on the surface of the Honeysuckle vine have been adorned with a double spiral inlay of green Malachite and blue Lapis Lazuli. The inner core of the vine is a golden brown color. In this handle that is exposed on the surface because of the way it was intertwined with another vine. That beautiful golden brown color is seen 2024 between the two inlays. So unique!
The gourds are filled with popcorn and topped with a small Cedar dowel. The sound is rich, full and outgoing.
The vine grows near my garden. I have included a photos of it before harvesting, and during it's process to become a handle. It's surprising how hard and strong it dries, while still being so very sweet.
