Small Ceramic Garlic Keeper, Green Gray Stoneware Storage Container

If you have limited benchtop space but need somewhere to keep your garlic at hand, look no further!!
This beautiful and striking Small Green and Gray Garlic Keeper is not only functional but it will also look amazing on your bench top. It holds approximately 6 to 7 garlic bulbs. The lid is slightly rounded to allow for that little bit of extra volume always needed. It has holes equally placed around its walls to allow for constant air flow. It has a wide and easy to grip handle which also adds to its graceful look.

I form the handle on the lid at a stage when the clay of the lid is " Leather Hard " ( not too dry and not too wet ), by taking a soft piece of clay, placing it in the center of the lid and, with the spinning of the wheel, lifting and compressing that piece of clay until I am satisfied that the resulting handle is harmonious with the shape and size of the container. I think this process is my most favorite of all when working with clay. Each handle, even though it is created in the same method, has its own uniqueness.

I glazed the lid and inside of the keeper ( and the inner surfaces of the holes ) and left the outer surface unglazed in order to expose the beautiful gray speckled clay. If you prefer an unglazed inner surface, I'll make one especially for you. Just send me a convo and I'll open a custom item.

My work is designed and created with much love 2024, always with the utmost consideration for its use.
This item is made from ceramic stoneware and is fired to a temperature of 1200 degrees celsius (2192 Fahrenheit).
It is glazed with lead-free and food safe glazes and is ideal for use in the oven and microwave but not over an open flame.
It is dishwasher safe.
If the item is out of stock, I can make another one, but the new item may vary slightly in size. That's the beauty of handmade objects.
I work alone and hope you understand that creating new items will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
