Analcime, Italy - Rare Specimen! Analcime Crystal Cluster with Augite, from Buco dell'Inferno, South Tyrol, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy 2024

A good-sized vintage analcime on matrix specimen from Northern Italy that comes with two old identification labels. Sometimes the old labels are hard to interpret because of language and handwriting, but I was able to find a piece on mindat.org that had an old label that matched the local of this specimen's label. The analcime crystals, to 0.7 2024 inches, are predominately white, with a few small dabs of pink/red iron staining. The matrix is presumably basaltic, with some visible dark green-to-black crystals of augite.
