2024 Antique French SARREGUEMINES corn shaped ceramic pitcher
A rare and collectible late 19th century to very early 20th century pitcher from the famed Sarreguemines manufacture in Lorraine France-
This is a large moulded majolica jug in the form of the corn cob in bright emerald green and yellow glaze with having a vegetal handle; impressed marks, backstamps underside with pattern numbers,
Excellent condition except for a tiny manufacturer hole on the rim ( see photo) of the jug close to the right side
of the handle, but almost imperceptible.
Note, this is the original Sarreguemines Corn pitcher. The model was so successful in its time, that it was copied in different sizes by several other French and British ceramic & majolica manufactures.
