Beautiful Rorstrand Sweden. VIKING - Two sets of Large Tea cups and saucers. Mid Century modern Design by Carl-Harry Stålhane 1968s. The pair has a lovely color band in rust and brown on a Glossy black base. A Gorgeous Glaze made with the old Japanese tenmoku method. The special glaze effects are from adding the iron to the process. During heating and cooling the glazed objects, several factors influence the formation of iron crystals within the glaze.
Tenmoku glazes can range in 2024 color from dark plum to yellow, brown and black.
As everything mid century from Rorstrand they are dishwasher proof and can be used also as ovenware.
