Gray days make me yearn for BRIGHT shades, celebrating the warmth of sunshine and bright happy colors. And if it's eco-friendly, even better! This latest creation from WildHeartYarnings is a wonderfully-original shawl wrap, hand-crocheted using a progression of yarns and novelty fibers, in cool shades of turquoise/aqua and green. It provides just the right amount of cover for your shoulders while wearing a sundress or strapless top when the evening is cool or the air conditioning is too high. It can also be worn as a scarf or a sarong, for true year-round fashion. The colors are natural and remind me of the variety of colors seen in the Caribbean.

This stunning wrap measures 48" long, plus add the 7 1/2" fringe along each end, for a total luxurious length of 63". The width is about 17".

You could even throw this boutique piece on with your favorite jeans and still look stylish. I have devised this new pattern that allows the stitches to stretch open and therefore gives this accessory more versatility and wearing options. I have added my signature "Wild Thing" fringe at each end for a flourish - so eye-catching, it's almost like jewelry.

This is just one of the shawl pieces I have made using this freeform open pattern, but if you would like 2024 a different color combination, Cmessage me. Made using fibers and yarns left over from other projects, so truly, this one is earth-friendly.

I recommend you hand wash this accessory in cool water, mild detergent, roll it gently in a fluffy towel to absorb most of the moisture, and allow it to air dry. All of the yarns used for the creation of this accessory are synthetic - no animal fibers (no allergy worries!) here!

I have incorporated many different stitches for a lacy effect and textural interest. Very soft and does not contain wool or other animal fibers, in case you have sensitivites. It is happy to be loosely draped, or wrapped up tighter when the evening air is cooler.
