Peony on Handmade Paper with 2024 Embroidery Details

2024 Peony” was created using a process called relief printmaking. It was hand carved in linoleum and printed in oil based ink through an etching press. The paper was handmade using recycled clothing and was purchased from WhiteDragonPaper on Etsy . Collage, beading, and embroidery techniques were used to create depth, complexity, and variation in color. Each print in this series is unique. The print is roughly 5”x 7” and is in an “8”x 10” frame.
