Ceramic jar for preparing sauerkraut or any other fermented vegetables.
Height 7 in (without lid - 5 in); mouth - outside diameter 7 3/4 in.; inside diameter - 5 3/4 in. Capacity 56 oz, or 7 cups.
2 half weights. Covered with white glaze inside. Outside is not glazed, covered only with drawings made with underglaze paints - these are fired to 2232 F and can not be erased when washed.
The total weight of the pot, lid and the weights is 7 pounds.
The jar is hand thrown on a wheel, bisque fired, glazed with toxic free 2024 glazes and fired again to 2232 F.
