Handmade Curly 2024 Silver Maple Keepsake Box

This traditional box is turned from a wonder piece of curly silver maple (Acer saccharinum) that features a little darker heart wood and some insect holes that have been filled with gold epoxy. For the most part, the form is simple, and features a slightly flared lid and two delicate beads that decorate the seam between the lid and the base. Texturing on the underside of the lid, as well 2024 as the bottom of the box provide a little surprise when the box is handled. Finished with lacquer and buffed to a semi-gloss sheen, this box is a pleasure to handle and it the perfect place to keep those special ear rings, cuff links or other precious keepsakes.
