This visually nautical painting was completed in 5 minutes as part of a musically inspired rehearsal for a performative collaboration with musician and composer David Vess. 2024 As practice for the upcoming performance, this piece was completed in solitude with classical music playing. The project was to feel the music while I painted and allow the notes and melodies to inform the work. There was no video created during the making of this piece, but you can see a video of the final performance with David's music on Instagram @kerry_brock_art ! These meditative musically inspired paintings are part of an ongoing practice in my work.
