FAQ's:

Q: How many words can I choose?
A: As a general rule, less is more. Try to keep it to ten words or less. For more than six words, I suggest the smallest font.

Q: How do I tell you what words I want?
A: It's easy! You can either convo me, or just write a note when you make your purchase.

Q: Do you have special characters and numbers?
A: Yes. If it exists in the alphabet, I have it.

Q: Do you do hashtags?
A: #YesIDo!

Q: I like wider, soup-type mugs. Can you do that?
A. Absolutely. Just message me, or write a note when you place your order.

Q: I need my mug really quickly. Like next week. Can you make the mug that fast?
A: Unfortunately, not. Each mug is individual thrown and stamped. The process takes about a week, and then the mug needs to dry, go through a firing, get glazed, and go through a second firing. The fastest I can make mugs is about four weeks.

Q: Do you giftwrap?
A: Everything I make is giftwrapped. If you want a special theme (birthday, baby, etc.) let me know. I can also include a personalized or blank matching card.

Q: Are the mugs dishwasher safe?
A: Yes!

Q: Are the mugs microwave safe?
A: Yes!

Q: Do you do bulk discounts?
A: Yes, the more you order, the less you pay per mug.

General Facts:

Each "Word Nerd" mug is hand thrown from recycled stoneware clay. The letters are hand stamped with antique letterpress type. The mugs are fired once (a process called "bisqueing"). Then they are dipped in a white majolica glaze and fired again. All of the glazes are non-toxic, microwave and dishwasher safe.

The bottom of each mug is sealed with Terra-Sigillata -- an ultra-fine clay that is used to create smooth surfaces -- so you never need to worry about scratches to your table!

All glazes are nontoxic and food safe.
The clay body is stoneware, recycled by me, and fired to Cone 6.
