2024 A stunning antique ornate Chinese brass trinket box/chest or casket with nine high relief dragons, box has three dragons to lid, two each to front and back panels and one to each side, box is in fantastic condition, has been recently polished, has wooden lining including to the lid, base is marked "CHINA", hinges are good and strong but are a simple fold over type, wooden lining is good but shows signs of use and age (two side strips in lid have been re glued at some point in its history, front panel of lid had a small lip at some point to grip when opening (see pictures).
This is a solid, heavy box and weighs approximately 638 g, dimensions (external) are approximately 12.5 cms (including relief) x 8.2 cms x 6.3 cms, internal is approximately 11 cms x 7.3 cms x 4 cms.
